Welcome to the independent home of the most historic race in southern Baja California Off-Road Racing, taking place at 6. May – 8. May 2011 in the greater areas of La Paz. As part of the celebrations of the founding of the Spanish pueblo that evolved into La Paz in 2008 Baja Sur off-road racing broke all records with that desert race! Over 210 teams fought over racing the challenging desert between the Gulf of California / Mar de Cortez and the Pacific Ocean site of the southern Baja Peninsula. 2009 was a rather unfortunate year with the economic crisis looming and the restrictions by the federal government in regards of the swine flu and related to that cancellation of public events as preventive measure which reflected also on the Dos Mares race. One can expect that 2010 this race will bloom back to his fullest!
